In addition a strong force is searching the streets for the dia- tributors of communist leaflets. This afternoon three communists were caught in the act of putting up an anti-Nazi poster and, after a chase through the streets, were finally apprehended.

The discovery of communist headquarters were reported by the Essen police who, in the course of a tun days' drive, made 200 nr- rests.

Meanwhile, a band of rescue workers and police foverishly cam- menced to remove the debris in scarch of bodies buried under- Ineath.

So far 10 men have been re- scued and sent to the hospital in ambulances. All of them are stated to be in a critical condition. The rescue work In still going on and fear that the denth tall will be heavy is felt.

So far two 'workers are known to have succumbed to injuries re- celved when the building collapsed. It is feared that the death-roll will be greater than at first thought as a number of those who were injured are in a very critical condition.
