"We camo upon this case by accittent," remarked Mr. R. R. Todd, Chief Assistant to the Secretary for Chinese Affairs, when he appeared at the Central Police Court yesterday afternoon, to prosecute a widow, Yik Houng, on charges of bringing three Chi- nese girls to Hongkong for the pur pose of prostitution outside the Colony, and attempting to procure them to leave the Colony with the Intention that they may become in- mates of a brothel elsewhere.
