I was recently asked if I felt that most players abused "false- carding."

"This is a dimeult ques-' tion to answer as it all depends on what you torm false-carding.

When playing the defence. I be lieve a partner should be careful to give his partner as accurate Information as possible, while when playing the hand as declarer one should not false-card without a reason behind it. Here is an old false-carding play that recently came up in a rubber game, and the declarer was not alow to execute this play as it was the only way he could make his contract:
