He will partner C. A. Wright, and with this strong combination, the Club are certain of winning against the University,

The only British success was Jack Crawford's annexation of the Mon's Singles.. Foreign competi- tors carried of all the other,

Miss Dorothy Round played magnificently against Mrs. Helen Wills-Moody, taking a set from the champion. But she could not stop the American winning the title for the sixth time, thus equalling the record of Mlle Suzanne Lenglen:

British hopes were defeated in the last round of both the Mixed DoubleA and Women's Doubles. The former title fell to the 'Ger man combination, Von Cramm and Fraulein Krahwinkel, whilst the Franco-American pair, Mme. Mathieu and Mrs. Ryan won the women's event.

The Kowloon Cricket Club provided a first class sensation among the bowling fraternity sults follows: on Saturday when they visited; the Club de Recreio in the first division of the Inwn bowls league and won by 32 shots.

Occupying the bottom rung of tht league ladder, the K.C.C. appeared to have no chances of winning against the powerful Portugese team in running for the championship. But the Cricket Club players gave their best dis- play of the season every man play- ing his part in the achievement.

The defent seriously jeopardised the Recreio's leadership prospects, and the Bowling Green, as a result of their win against the Police, and Craigengower, who have a game in hand, are now well en- trenched at the top of the table.

The Bowling Green have again. caught up Craigengower in the second division thanks to a win (Continued on Page 9.)
