After being hunted by the police for 11 years, Andre 'Spada, the notorious Corsican baridit and outlaw, was arrested to-day in his [native village of Coggla, situated in the mountains 15 miles north of Ajaccio.

Spada, who "succeeded" Nonce Romanetti as "King of the Ma- quis" (or jungle) is charged with six attempts at murder and nine other crimea.
