The United States proposal to submit a resolution for a tariff truce was announced by Mr. Mac- Donald at the opening of proceed; ings this morning. He assumed that the existing truce, whereto nineteen nations had adhered up to the present, would remain in force until July –31._And_ho_urged those states which up to now had not adhered to the truce to sub- scribe as soon as possible.
