Here is a Herculean task for the propheta! A lot, of course, is going! to depend on green advantage. The Craigengower for instance, having changed the direction of the rinks and the roadway' bowling to and from should find this of assistance against the Kowloon Decks.

GAMES REVIEWED

(By "Veritas")

·

AFTER allowing for Monday's disappointment, the opening of the league tennis this week can be regarded as satisfactory.

FOUR out of five games in the "B" Division were cleared up on Tuesday and a part pro- gramme of "C" Division fixtures was played off yesterday.

CONDITIONS on both days were none too

favourable, the grounds being heavy as a result of the week-end and mid-week rainfalls. It is to be hoped there, will be no further visitation until this evening, or interruption in the first block of Mixed Division games is likely.

For the last three years, at least, ruined the initial league rain has programmon, and it therefore came as no surprise, but was merely in keep ing with tradition, when the "A" Division matches were washed out on Monday.
