RESULTS IN FRENCH CHAMPIONSHIPS

Paris, May 31. Christian Boussus, candidate for French Davis Cup honours this year, gained a brilliant suc- cess in the fourth round of the French championship to-day when he beat Frank X. Shields, national ranking American star, and finalist at Wimbledon in 1931 in four sets.

The great appeal of this division is that whereas for several years past it has been exay to select the champions, the honours resting either between the C.R.C., South China or Recreio, this summer, with no South China team, and new
