MAGISTRATE'S CENSURE
London, May 11.
The hostility aroused by cer- tain recent events in Germany
was revealed by an unpleasant episode which occurred to-day re- garding a wreath which Dr. i Rosenberg yesterday placed at the base of the Whitehall Cenotaph.
Early this morning, an unknown person cut away from it the silk swastika decoration and a litt later the wreath was taken away in a car and, it is understood, thrown into the Thames."
As a sequel, an ex-officer, Gap- toin Sears, who removed the wreath, was fined forty chillings. for wilful damage to a wreath, the property of Office of Works.
