A former German spy had the distinction of having a debate in the House of Lords devoted to himself to-day, when the question of his residing in Britain cropped up. He in Captain Von Rintelen. to realde in whose permission Britain, Viscount Bertle was most anxious should be revoked.

Lord Bertio.wald that during the war Von Rintelen was a kрy and saboteur against Britain and the Allies, for which he had served a sentence of four years' imprison- ment In the United States. Lord Bertie quoted from a book by Von Rintelen describing how he entered America by means of a forged incondlary peasport, and how
