MANY TEAMS SIX MATCHES IN ARREARS FORTNIGHT BEFORE SEASON ENDS
- (By “VERITAS".)
AFTER a month of spasmodic interruptions, league
football continues the even tenor of its way to- morrow, marking the beginning of the end of the 1932-33 season.
The majority of clubs return to the fray, a full programme being scheduled for the senior division, while additional matches have been introduced in the second and third divisions.
South China resume their tr towards the first division champ-] ionship, but they have atill n long way to go, and as it would seem that
mitl-week number of 15 matches will be their lot, a few apseta before the issue is finally clinched need not be unexpected.
SURPRISE MAY AWAIT.
St. Joseph's provide the opposi- 3ion for the potential title holders on Sunday, and it appeara a fairly afe thing for the Chinese. Novertheless one must not ignore that the Saints last week literally played with the Recreio, who had previously beaten South China, and a reproduction of that form may go a long way towards emula Tion of the example set by the
Portuguese.

FORMER HONGKONG AND TIENTSIN CHAMPION
IF HE VISITS COLONY WILL PLAY FOR I.R.C.
CASSUMBHOY REPORTED TO BE DOUBTFUL STARTER
(By "Veritas").
HONGKONG league tennis may this summer be graced with the presence of one of the finest players ever produced in the Far East.
I learn that O. Rumjahn, many times champion of Tientsin, an ex-Interporter, and brother to Sirdar, the Colony's singles champion, has written intimating that he may come down to Hongkong for the summer, in which case he would be prepared to play for the Indian Recreation Club, in the League.. Should this materialise, the J.R.C., are regarding their pro. pects in the A Division hopefully and with confidence, for the pre- sence of such a stalwart as 0. Rumjahmu, would considerably strengthen a team which already boasts of the famous cousins, to gether with 1. A. A. Razack,
The only fly in the olntnient so far as the I. R. C. are concerned Is the doubt surrounding the ap pearance of J. A. E. Causumbhoy. There is a belief that he will not take part in the league this year, Whites:F. Nicolls: S. Richard-and as yet he has not definitely son and S. Eckersoll: W. Camp-indicated what his decision is to bet; E. Fullager, F. Schreuder be. and It. Goldman.
Blues:-W. Tillery; W. Kerr and C. Aris; J. Lange: W. Jen. kins, A. Donn and D. Sutherland.
Both teams showed excellent promise. Nicolls and Tillery were confident in their goals, Tillery. who was kept busier than his vis- a-vis, repentedly saving woll from Schreuder..
If he plays, the Indfans expect that he will again throw in his lot with them, in which case they will certainly be turning out a powerful side.
PROMOTION.
It is fairly certain that A. A. Rumjahn, and J. S. A. Curreem, who 1st year played as No. 3 in the Both will improve their value first team, will be dropped in
