improper should be the Magistrale before whom the Lower Court procedure is taken against Mr. Hallume in view of the fact that I, as Coroit- er, have heard the evidence and have heard the verdict of a special jury.

Mr. Fraser: It would be en- be renient if the hearing could held in Kowloon. I known of no objection to your Worship tuking the proceedings.

Mr. Butters: As far as I can see, I am being asked to duplicate what I did on Wednesday, after- noon. I would prefer the case to be taken by another Magistrate.

Mr.

Worship, Fraser: Your there is only one Magistrate in Kowloon.

Mr. Butters: But, it doesn't need to be me. 1. have most la- cided objections to hearing this case:

Mr. Mackinlay: The Commis- aloner of the Chinese Maritime Customs will stand security for for reason the ball. 1 sec no duplicating the enquiry and it will only cause Mr. Hallums un- necessary expense. Mr. Butters: I am being

quested to take part in a duplicate

of the first enquiry.

Mr. Mackinlay: With regard to the buil, the Commissioner of Mr. Chinese Maritime Customs.

E. N. Ensor, is prepared to enter into a bond.

I

Mir. Butters: am granting ball on the Coroner's enquiry and this charge.
