THE FANLING HUNT

MR. FIELD WINS IN POINT

TO POINT

The Fanling senson closed on Sun- day with an excellent point-to-point arranged by Mr. A. H. Potts. The course was over about seven miles of first class hunting country, and the days being few, and for between, a good knowledge of the country was required.

Sixteen riders faced the starter at Souza's Bungalow, and of there less than half completed the course, The first part of the yun was a big left- handed circle back to the Portuguese Golf Course, nerase the main road, and then on to Step Pass. There the line went left, agnis ncross the viven, At this point Mr. Patte had a lond of nearly half a mile, but came to grier at the Tord. From here the leaders kept fairly well bunched along the Cothills to the Fashing Golf Course, where another left landed turn brough the field into the honie stretch back to "Pott's Look- wat."

A quarter of a mile from home there was nothing to choose between the first five, but this number "was reduced to four when Mr. Jenkins tried to emulate Absolam when pass ing a low hunging tree. Mr. Field then brought Jan Sewers into
