AGREEMENT

FOR CANTON AND MACAO RUNS

STEAMBOAT CO. MEETING

Presiding at the annual share holders meeting of the Hongkong, 1 Canton and Macao Steamboat Co., 3 Ltd., this morning, Sir Robert Ho Tung stated that after protracted and arduous negotiations, two pool agreements had been concluded with Chinese steamship operating both on the Canton and Macao run.

It was too early yet, Sir Robert said, to predict the net results of the agreements, which, however, it was hoped might prove beneficial to the parties concerned.
