In continuing its building pro- gramme, the Kwanusi University is erecting another large building which will greatly add to the housing accommodation of the in- stitution. Under the able manage- ment of Dr. Ma, the Kwangai University has made great strides during the last few years. A number of buildings have been erected and the campus at present is spread over considerable terri- tory. Provision is made for sports and athletics. The teaching staf is composed of a very competent faculty, which includes two Euro- pean professora,

Reports from the Peng Naam district bring the news that the military is making renewed efforts to stamp out banditry in this sec- tion of the Province. A detachment of soldiers returned the early part of the week with a number of prisoners, who were well shakled. The prisoners consisted of both men and women, many, of whom were wounded, and showed signs of having suffered "reat hardship.
