In a thrilling game at Sunder- land to-day, Derby County qualified to meet Manchester City in the semi-final of the English Cup, winning by the. only goal.
Eight goals were obtained in the match at Derby on Saturday, but to-day the defences kept a tight grip on the game and at the end of ninety minutes neither side had scored. Derby obtained the win: ning goal in extra time.
The probable finalists would seeth to be Everton and Derby County, in which event one of the nost spirited struggle of years should be witnessed.
Everton are in capital form just now. To-day, in a league match against Leicester they won by six goals to three.
