AUSTRIAN ARMS IMPORTS

ITALY TO TAKE THEM BACK

London, Feb. 21. The Austrian Arms In- cident, which has aroused much excitement owing to the despatch of the Anglo- French Note, may now be considered closed..

In the House of Commons this evening, the Foreign Secretary, Sir John Simon, was asked whe- ther a settlement had been reach- ed in the matter of the importa tion of arms into Austria.

He replied: "The Italian Am bassador saw me yesterday about the arms recently sent from an Italian consignor to two Austrian factories, and informed me that the Italian Government, for their part, were propared to agree that the arms in question, which were sent to Austria for the purpose of being reconditioned, should be
