The "swan song" of the Sim Shield competition has been sung, the decision to discon- tinue the trianglar tournament being arrived at yesterday by the three teams concerned, the Army, Navy and Club.

The decision in a regrettable, yet Inevitable one, for by continuing with the competition the three teams were! i doing so in contravention of the rules

of the English Hockey Association to which they are affated.
