Arsenal, visiting Roker Park, had bad luck to lose by the odd goal in five, being beaten the last minute.

A PLEASING FUNCTION.F

A pleasing function took place, at, Saturday the Royal Hongkong Yacht Club on afternoon. when Chief Yeoman of Signals J.F. Kelsall, who has been the Oficial Time-keeper, of the Club for the past two years, waS the recipient of a silver cigarette cane, presented. to him by the Commodore (Mr. A.L. Shields) on the occasion of bis sailing for Home on next.

In making the presentation, Mr. Shields paid a warm tribute to the: work done by Mr. Kelsall, and wald that the Yacht Club had been very fortunate in having the services of Chief Yeoman Kelsail and his pro decessors who had taken a keen terest in the timing and working of handicaps. He hoped the cigarette case would be a souvenir of his sojourn in the Colony, and that ho would revisit the Club if chance should bring him again to the China Station.

Mr. Kelsall suitably repiled.

Afternoon's Yachting.

An informal menagerie race was anfled during the afternoon over o course of 8.0 miles, Ailsa, sailed by Major Lochner, taking first place, Colleen (Lt Peters) being second and Sirius (Mr. Sporleder) third. Results:
