When the contract is doubled, be careful not to become confused. Doubling multiplies by two the bid trick value, but overtricks | doubled have Rn independent) value as explained above.

For example, if you bid one no trump, are doubled, and make two no trump, you would receive one! odd trick doubled, and as the first: odd trick at no trump is 30 points. doubled 60 points, you would score this 60 points below the line or to- wards game.

You have made one overtrick, and if you are not vulnerable, this doubled overtrick is worth 100, points, while if your side is vul- nerable, that overtrick is scored at 200 points above the line or as premium points.
