NOTES SUPPLIED BY THE THEATRES
A scene played by instinel, Ro bert Montgomery asports, is better than a scene rehearsed a dozen times --and the more rehearsals, tho sta believes, the more pitfalls for the actor. Montgomery has always de pended on "firat hunches" from the time he made his first picture, " This la College," and kicked a foot ball between goal posts in a fleat scene. Ilo wasn't able to do it again. although he tried all day. "If the neter knows his lines," says Mont gomery, "he can danh in and do a scene with snap and ginger-but the more he rehearses, the more tired he becomes, until he reaches n point where he misses a line. That's the cret of Clarence Brown's direction. In his direction of Letty Lynton' Joan Crawford, Nils Aather and my self all noticed it. He never gets

CAR
THE GRAHAM 8 SEDAN
Graham's 1932 8-cylinder sedan, christened by the manufacturers the "Blue Streak Eight," is an automobile with many virtures, apart from being one of the most strikingly handsome cars of the year.
Its rounded stream-lined body, beavertail back and attrac- tive radiator design, combine in making the car one whose beauty it is difficult to match.
