The President Johnson has been chartered this year for the James Boring Tourist Agency of New York. Last summer the agency chartered the Johnson for a successful cruise of the Mediterranean. Changes have now been made in the vessel to increase the passenger capacity and a considerable number of new materooms have been added.

Brisk bidding was the order at yes. terday's nuction of Crown Lands at the P.W.D. offiec, and some lota in Kowloon Tong feiched high prices.

About 12,370 square feet of land situated at Ho Mun Tin was first put up, and it realized the stim of $16,100, the upsel price being $16,186. The purchaser was Mr. Wong Kal-ming, of 43, Bonham Strand. East.

A plot of about 29,700 square feet of land situated at Kowloon Tony was put up at its upset price of $7,425. The bidding rone to $19,000 before the lot was bought by Mr. A. 11. Bantu and Mrs. C. F. Basto.

Another lot of about 20,930 square feet of land situated at Kowloon Tong: was bought by Mr. H. C. Chan and Mr. H. Gittins for $10,000, the upset price being 56,733.

About 30,500 square feet of lam! at Kowloon Tong was bought by Mr. B. G. Lee on behalf of Lee Yuk-long for $11,700, the upset price being $7,625.
