SEVERAL ROBBERY CASES BEFORE PUISNE JUDGE'
Three mon, Tang Yun-chlu, Cheung Wal-lin, ond Li Tung, were sentenced to three years' imprison- ment and twenty-four strokes of the birch by the Puinne Judge (Mr. Justice Wood) on a charge of rob- ; bery by two or more. Both plead- ed guilty. Mr. T. 9. Whyte-Smith prosecuted.

Two Years for Larceny. Sentence of two years labour was passed on Chan Song, alias Li Mow, who pleaded guilty to six charges of larceny, extend- ing over three months.
The thefts to which the accused pleaded guilty were as follow.— July 8 at Kowloon Tong, a clock from Mr. J. Cameron; July 20 at Kowloon Tong, ast electric Iron from Slu Ho Suk; August 22 nt Kowloon Tong, a gold watch from Mr. C. Mr. Whyte-Smith, prosecuting, stated that the thefts were rather clover thefts. The defendant's record showed that he had boon convicted four times of larceny, once of house-breaking and once of Asan ult. At the time he WAS arrested he was under police supervision, but had failed to re- port.
His Lordship passed sentence of four months on each of the six charges, making two years in all,
Another man, Tanng Kuu, who 'wan arraigned before the Court on three charges of larcency and three of receiving, was sentenced to one year's hard labour on his pleading guilty to the larceny charges. The charges of receiv- ing were not proceeded with.
