COTTON ADVANCE.

Cotton is again one of the few exceptions, the export of cotton yarns and manufactures having advanced by £660,108.

Comparing September imports with those of the previous Septem- ber there was a decline of '£3,011,- 389 in food, drink and tobacco, and of £10,479,282 in articles wholly or mainly manufactured.

The decrease in the export of ceal was 2004,901.
