The Interport Probables
Selection
of Team Good Although Rather Provocative.
(ByVeritas"}
In view of the teams chosen for the various trials, the Probable Interport XI to visit Shanghai, selected by the committee to meet the Rest of the Colony on Friday contains very few surprises.
Nevertheless it seems that the selectors were in a somewhat provocative frame of mind when they made their decision. For a trial match they put Suen Kam-shun at inside left and Wong Mee-shun at inside right to all intents and purposes with the idea discovering whether they were suitable for those positions, and turn round an hour later and give them entirely new places in the Probable team.

EASY VICTORY
FOR CLUB
The Club "A" fifteen were full value for their victory at the ex- ponse of Kowloon at the Valley yesterday, winning by 11 points] to nil after enjoying a pronounced Buperiority throughout the game.
Both sides etarted with one or two players short, but a few minutes of play saw the teams completed. The Club pack very quickly got into their strido and displayed their all-round superi- ority, particularly in the tight scrums, where McElney easily! mastered the opposition hooker. The Club too held a big advantago on the line-outs where Munro's great height continually robbed Kowloon of any chances of secur ing the ball.
The early stages of the game' saw the ball repeatedly heeled, but it was noticeable that paasing movements of big, promise were

Of the pack, the less sald the better. They will always rèmnin ragged until some of them learn to leave the tackl ing to the leader and get down to real solid scrummaging.
Forwards, whose Bole thought is to play to the gallery are of no use, particu larly to a side which is trying to find its feet.
This, I should hasten to point out, is a goneral criticism, and docs not, of course, apply to all the forwards..

The Inclusion of Bliss will be generally received with satisfac- tion, although I repeat what I contended yesterday, he would be far more useful at left than right half.
The selection of Wong Mee-shun at centre-half is, certainly an un- expected move In view of the trials, but it has to be remembered that this is hla normal position. Certainly I know of no more capable player in Hongkong at the present to all this important Job of work, and the forwards can be fairly assured of an adequate BUT- ply of opening-up passes.

CORRESPONDENT'S
SUGGESTIONS
Weakness of the Half-
The selectors apparently did not take too seriously the sudden fall A from grace on Tuesday of B. Gosano, and in this direction, perhaps they will be fully just- fied. But ho must show an im- provement. In the last three matches ho has been completely off colour and such loss of form, although perhaps only temporary, has to be. seriously considered. It is to be sincerely hoped that he regains his old cleverness and speed, for on his day there is not a better wingman in the Colony.
UNCOURAGEOUS.
