As menuured at the Statistical Office of the Imports and Exporta Department, wholesale prices in Hongkong during the 3rd Quarter of 1932 registered a decrease of 7.5% as compared with the June Quarter, and increases of 0.7% and 17.2% as compared with 1924 and the base your of 1922 respectively.
It will be seen from the following table which shows the course of price changes since 1918, that as compared with the June Quarter there were declines in each of the four groups daring the September quarter. Foodstuffs fell by 4%. Textiles by 7.5%, Metals and Minerals by 11.9%, and Miscellaneous Items by 6.1%.
