QUARTER OF THIS YEAR.

DECREASE OVER PREVIOUS PERIÓD.

As measured at the Statistical Office of the Imports and Exporta Department, wholesale prices in Hongkong during the 3rd Quarter of 1932 registered a decrease of 7.5% as compared with the Juno Quarter, and Increases of 9.7% and 17.3% as compared with 1924 and the base year of 1823 respectively,

It will be seen from the following table which shows the course of price changes since 1913, that compared with the June Quarter there were declines in each of this four groups during the September quarter. Foodatulla fell by 4%, Textiles by 7.5%, Metals and Minerals by 11.9%. and Mlucellaneous Items by 6.1%.
