Vice-Admiral Sir W. H. D. Boyle, who was on the China Station in command of the First Cruiser Squadron froni the Mediterranean during the Shanghai troubles of 1927, is appointed Admiral. He has been 46 years in the Navy, entering as a cadet in 1887, He commanded H.MS. Repulse during Fifty-nine years of age at the end of November, he is the hair-presumptive to the Buri Cork and Orrery.
