As I have said, Australians are people of British stock who have a strong prejudice in favour of British goods, but the Americans havo catered for the Australian markot much more effectively than the British.. Here is an oppor- tunity for Britiah car makers which promises great things.. I do not pretend that success will be easy; the Americans will make a hard fight to hold their own, but if the British car manufacturers, instead of dissipating their ener gles by more or less futile indivi- dual efforts, fighting each other instead of the American manufac- turers, will join forces for the pur poss of advertising and marketing sultable cars, they will quadruple their trade in a very short time.
