Forged Singapore bank notes with a face value of $490 found by the police during a raid in Temple strect yesterday.

Acting "on Information received" a squad of European and Chinese detectives raided the house and made a close search of the premises. Ninety-eight bills, all of five dollar denomination, were found and on. examination proved to be forgeries. One of the inmates was arrested.

Most of the men found in the house weN returned labourera from the Straits Settlements.
