AIR MAIL SPEED-UP

DEVELOPMENT OF SERVICE IN PROVINCES.

Air Mail services are to be speeded up considerably when the new posting times como Inta operation. In twelve months nearly 3,000,000 letters have been carried-over half a million more than the previous year.

An official of the G.P.O. told a a Press representative that the Indian Air Mall takes by far the largest proportion of the service.

"In a total of 60.000lb. of mail- carried in six months" he said. "18,000lb. went to India and an-. other 7.000 b, to the various porta of call-Palestine, Eggypt, Irak, and other places-on the way. In Europe, Germany has the largest postal and letter services from England.
