During the afternoon a cricket match will be played, between the K.C.C., and Mr. Hancock's XI and a representative bowls match will be contested between the K.C.C., and the Rest of the Colony, Eight rinks will be in progress.~.

The celebrations will bo cos- tinued to-night, when a flannel dance takes place in the spacious central hall of the Club, and the fostivities will not conclude until | the early hours of Sunday,

IN RETROSPECT.

The history of the club-like most records of its type-makes fascinat- ing reading. Formed on October 6, 1904, the Club has been in existence Just on 28 years. The Club received its present ground from the Govern- ment in 1905, but it was not until Borne time later that it fit enough for play. The membership at that time was 76. The first President was Mr. J. Macgowan and the first captain Dr, J. H. Swann.

The club-house, states the C.C. brochure, was a matshed erected at the north end of the ground.
