UNSUSPECTED

CONSTIPATION

Nine out of ten of us--whether we know it or not-are martyrs to partial constipation. For it is a fact that an overloaded and neglected food canal will quickly and inevitably lead to a multitude of ills, the true cause of which we rarely recognise. The sole purpose of Eno's 'Fruit Suft' is to 'check this evil-safely and harmlessly. Acting in the same way as thosc natural salts which should be--but are not- present in modern diet. Eno gets rid of all waste matter before It has time to stagnate and become poisonous. Take Eno first thing every morning.

ANTI-JAPANESE

INCIDENTS.

STUDENTS RAID SHOP IN MONGKOK DISTRICT

Two anti-Japanese demonstra- tions took place in the Mongkok district last night, and as a result, extra precautons were taken by the Police to prevent an outbreak. particularly as it was about this time last year that the Japanese were subjected to serious molesting.

The incidents occurred in two adjacent sundry stores in Shang- hai Street in one of the most densely populated areas the district and attracted much atten- tion. About 4 p.m. some students were attracted by the warea of a hawker who was displaying metal goods, which were alleged by the students to be of Japanese manufac- ture.

The students surrounded tho hawker and demanded to know the origin of the goods. They were informed that the articles lind been purchased from 575 and 677 Shang- hai Street. To these two shopa the crowd went and threw eral articles into the streets.

sey-

Police, however, had gained in- formation of the affair and were noon on the scene. The crowd of youths were dispersed without any serious damage being caused.

Precautionary measures were taken by the Police to prevent a re- currence of last year's incidents but up to a late hour last night no further trouble was reported.
