| SAILOR REMEMBERS HIS OLD FRIENDS
FORTUNE SHARED
IN WILL
All classes of people will bene-
flt by the will of Mr. Horace George Robertson, an old senfur- ing man, who came into a for- tune in romantic circumstan- ces. I'robate of the will has just been granted.
When he retired from the sen about ten years ago he was strick- en with an Illness which left him a cripple. He went as a paying patient to the City, Lodge, a hos- pital workhouse managed by the old Cardiff Board of Guardians, but soon afterwards heard that he had been left, a fortune by a brother whom he had not, seen for some years, and who had died at Shanghai.
Mr. Robertson then took a luxu- rious modern bungalow in a Car- diff suburb, ordered a specially designed motor-car, and spent the life of a free-and-ensy gentioman. He entertained lavishly and had u large number of friends. His death occurred about six months ago, at the age of 70.
The gross value of the estatey is £78,284, and the net value $77,- 329.
care
Mr. Robertson in his will has not forgotten the medical and attention paid to him no a eripple. He left half of his re- siduary estate, free of duty, to the Cardiff and District Branch of the Queen's Institute of District Nur- sing, and the other half to the Welsh area of the British Legion. People who were friends of Mr. Robertson in his less prosperous days are among the beneficiaries.
Persons living as far afield as British Columbin are mentioned in the will, and the income from £7,000 is to be paid to the Chinese housekeeper of Mr. Robertson's brother who left him the money.
