A garden party in aid of the Children's Hospital, Great Ormond-Street, Londes, was given in Marlborough Houts Gardens. This was essentially a children's party, and the young guests had a most enjoyable time. In one corner there was a miniature circus and our picture shows a performing pony, which proved a great attraction(Timés copyright).

Mrs. F. $, Moody (U.S.A.) who won the Ladies' Singles Championship at Wimbledon for the fifth time, playing in the semi-final, in which she beat Miss M. Heeley (Great Britain) 6-2; 6-0---- (Times copyright).
