The Shing Mun Valley Gorge Dam, authority for construction of which has, at long last, been given by the Secretary of State, will pro- vide the Colony with the big- gest capacity reservoir cast of India.

The reservoir will have storage capacity of over 3,000, 000,000 gallons, which is almost, it not quite, as great as all the other reservoirs together.
