In congratulating you upon success in its production, I wish to utate that the picture discloses a most pathetic story, very finely told, acted and photogra- phed. The famine problem is very vividly portrayed and the film should give the world a true glimpse of village life in the interior of China.

On the whole, my Associates and 1 consider this pleture na the greatest triumph yet nehleved by your Company and it is worthy of the attention of not only the Chinese people but all foreigners who would undoubtedly find interest from un insight of the life and existence of villagers in China.

LETTER FROM

THE AMERICAN TRADE COMMISSIONER.

Through your courtesy, Mrs. Barringer and I had the great pleasure of seeing a pre-view of your picture "Humanity" on Saturday, April 23rd.

We both greatly enjoyed the picture. As the writer spent two years in European Russin in charge of, American relief operations during the great Russlan famine of these years, I can vouch for the excellent "shota" that you have show- ing real faniino conditions. I think that this is a splendid picture, and, as you say, should appeal to both European and Chineno audiences. The close-ups were particularly good, and although in spots the photography might have been im- proved upon, on the whole I consider it a very high grade production

Thanking you for having remembered me when you showed this picture.
