Objections to questions by the defence regarding his movements in Shanghai were raised by Ed- ward Zimmern during the con- tinuation of his cross exumination in the George Fung murder case which was resumed before Mr. Wynne Jonen at the Central Polico Court yesterday afternoon.

Mr. Brutton resumed his examination of Edward Zimmern. He asked: Now Mr. Zimmern at what time were you arrested -on your return from Canton 7-Some- whore between half past three and four o'clock.

Coming off the boat?--Yes.

And you were taken direct to the Police Station 7----No.

Well, where?—I was questioned

at a hotel, on the ground floor. I don't know the name of the hotel. By whom 7-By the Police who arrested me.

Who? There were four or five Police. I don't remember which was the one.

Did you ask permission to tele- phone for your solicitor?-I cannot recollect that.

You can't recollect?—I only naked that my people be notified.

You did not ask to telephone yourself? I don't think I remem ber that.
