West's proper opening is his fourth hest heart-the five spol. The only point in question is: did West originally hold four or five hearts? If he originally held five hearts, he now holds but a single- ton spade. The declarer's next play is the hearts, deliberatels eight af throwing West in the lead to make his three good hearts.
