In reporting on the Empire Products Fair, to be held at the Peninsula Hotel on May 23 and 24, the Hon. Mr. J. P. Braga, Chair- man of the Fair Sub-Committee. spoke of the hearty co-operation manifested all hande, and stated that applications for space extent had come in to such an that, owing to limitations further allocations could not be made.

The Opening Ceremony,

A feature of the opening cere mony will be an Empire Tableau in which eight girls, attired in national costume, representing various parts of the Empire, will participate.

Full detalis of the Fair pro- gramme will be published in special advertisements to appear Saturday. in the newspapers on The public is requested to look out for these details and to make a present at what point of being should be a most interesting func tion. Admission will be free, but dollar per head. There will be tens will be served at a cost of one many attractions during the open- ing day, including special music by the bands of HL.M.S. Cornwall and of the Peninsula Hotel. At night, there will be a special Em- pire Day Gala in the Rose Room of the Hotel, when Empire menus will be served.

The Fair will reopen on Empire Day at 9 a.m. and continue until 6 p.m.

In addition to the Fair, there will be special Church services on Empire Day morning, while ot 10.30 a.m. Girl Guides will lay a basket of rовея on Queen Vic- toria's statue, to which also the public may, if they wish, also send baskets of flowers.

In the afternoon, Mrs. Southorn is entertaining the Girl Guides at Government House, while H. E. the General Officer Commanding| will entertain Boy Scouts at Flag- staff House.

At 7 p.m., the Hon. Sir Henry Pollock, K.C., will broadcast an address from the Government Studio telling of the development of the Colony during his 44 years' residence here.

During the day, a loyal telegram will be sent to Her Majesty the Queen by the Empire Day Com- mittee.

It is hoped that the Union Jack will be flown from business houses and residences on Empire Day
