In its more serious parta, the realism is power- fully conveyed, with a fine moral in regard to the folly of war. Phil- fps Holmes has the difficult role of the young Frenchman, and he e Lionel admirable in the part. Barrymore scores xrent HICCCRA with his fine neting as the father of the dead young soldier, while! Nancy Carroll is good as the sweet- heart. The other characters are also ably taken. A film which will live long in the memory.
