DR. JACKSON ADDRESSES MEDICAL SOCIETY.

Doctor AB. Jackson, the Gov. ernment Malariologiat, guvo a most interesting address on mosquitoes

meeting of the Hongkong University Medical Socfety yoster- day afternoon. After the address there was a demonstration "fap- pliances, specimens, and micro- scople alides, which illustrated points made by Doctor Jackson.

In the first portion of his paper. the speaker detalled the charac-

mosquito, saying one was often confronted with entomologira). specimens which were not mosquitoes. He describ- ed the external structure of the Insect, both male and female, and went on to describe the places where eggs were laid and the sub. sequent evolution of the mosquito,
