Ar. I. M. Rocha suggested that the committee consider the reduction of the monthly subscription from $3 to $2, but it was pointed out that the time was not opportune.

Mr. Rocho later brought

the question of the award of the prizes for Int year's championships. He re- marked that he had seen a certain amount of comment in the Prees re- garding the matter and asked for the uillelal view.

Mr. Logan remarked that it was a very long story. Two years ago they started the Hongkong Amateur Swim- ming Association which now had no money. The Association were mor- ally responsible for the prizes, but the V.IL.C, found they would have to secure prizes for the successful com petiturs. The Hongkong Amateur Swimming Association, continued Mr. Logan, might have to close down.

Bofore the meeting concluded, the Hon. Mr. Southern expressed a vote of thanks to the retiring committee, mentioning particularly Mcners. Hyndman and Victor.
