Mr. R. M. Rocha suggested that the committee consider the reduction of the monthly subscription from $3 to $2. but it was pointed out that the time was not opportune.

up the Mr. Rocha later brought question of the award of the prizes for last year's championships. He re- marked that he had seen a certain amount of comment in the Press re- garding the matter and asked for the official view.

Mr. Logan remarked that it was a very long story. Two years ago they started the Hongkong Amateur Swim- using Association which now had no money. The Association were mor nily responsible for the prizes, but the V.R.C. found they would have to secure prizes for the successful com petitors. The Hobgkeng Amateur Swimming Association, continued Mr. Logan, might have to close down.

Before the meeting concluded, the Hon. Mr.. Southorn expressed a vote of thanks to the retiring committee, Micasra, mentioning particularly Hyndman and Victor.
