A BANK CLERK IN TROUBLE.

ARRESTED ON EVE OF WEDDING.

On the ove of his wedding. which was to have taken place in Canton, Li King-hay, 22-year-old bank clerk, was arrested on a warrant charging him with the theft of bank securities and with uttering a forgery by algning Getlilous name to one of them.

The case was outlined to the Magistrate (Mr. Wynne-Jones)

at the Central Magistracy yester. day afternoon when a strong plea in mitigatio was made by Mr Peter Sin, appearing on behalf of the youth. This plea was up- ported by both the complainants and the Police.
