The play of the Borderers team was of a very high standard throughout, Jarman and Ellis delighting the spec tators with some very neat and clever strokes. Leading Stoker Dea! played a very fine game and made his op ponent fight hard for the points, but the Sergeant Major was a little too good and after some well compiled breaks of 16, 19 and 21 forced himself ahead and won by 12.
