Mr. Winston Churchill is in danger of pleural haemor- rbage as a result of his ac- cident, said Mr. Otto Pick- hart, in an interview with Reuter this morning, follow- ing a rather anxious night.
Mr. Churchill, one of the most colourful personalities in British politics, arrived in America a few days ago in order to make a lec ture tour. Last night, when try ing to crus Fifth Avenue, he was knocked down by a motor-car and Buffered injuries to his head and shoulders.

It was declared this morning that Mr. T. V. Soong has announced his intention of resigning his post as Minister of Finance.
Chiang Kai-shek's resignation from all govern- mental positions is expected this morning.
Mr. Sun Fo states that the Canton delegates will proceed to Nanking on the day following the announce- ment that Mr. Lin Sen is to be appointed as acting chair- man of the National Government and General Chan Ming-shu as acting President of the Executive Yuan.
