A Crowded Route.

During the recent hot weather, Repulse Bay has attracted a large number of people each afternoon, taxing the parking spaces on the Hover road to the úlmost Himit. The best use is not always made of the space available, for the reason that some motorists do not perk their cars properly. There is suflicient congestion at tirnes, especially dur- ing week-ends, to justify the sta tioning of an European traffic, affi- cer for the purpose of instrueting certain owners and drivers in the matter of correct parking. Speed- sters should also le discouraged, and we have previously drawn at- tention to the fuel that there is far too much reckless driving along this narrow route. The Repulse Bay Road, is also frequently con gested, and it is not unusual to see a long line of cars following a bus. The las drivers do show every consideration, but when one of these vehicles reaches the Stubbs Road junction,

on the return journey from Repulse Bay, It would greatly nasist matters if a stop were made, This would give following care an opportunity to pass.safely, and re move the temptation to pass ahead at other points, a practice at times distinctly dangerous.

With modern motor cars de signed for speed and motorists travelling faster and faster, ques tions have arisen as to what to do under certain emergencies during high speed driving. These questions were brought up recent

by James E. Hale, Akron tyre: engineer, at the annual meeting of the Society of Automotive En Kineers at White Sulphur Springs, IV. Vn.

Being of considerable import- ance to the motorist, the questions Arthur J. were submitted to

ritories in re-surfaceing roads, and not before they need it. We have expressed the fear several times during the last couple of years that the Colony's roads are not receiving the attention they did previously, and there is certainly ample evi- dence to support the belief that an Scaife, consulting field engineer attempt is being made to economise for the White Company of Cleve en maintenance. The old adage "a stitch in time" should be applied to roads upkeep, and in any case, motorists have a right to expect that thoroughfares should be kept in good condition, for that, is one of the main reasons they are,

Tribute to Sleeve-Valve Engines.

RE-SALE VALUE,

A distinct tribute to the long life of cara employing the Knight sleeve-valve engine, their repata- tion for being the fastest selling tused car In the market, and their excellent trade-in value, comes as the result of a survey of the market. Not alone does this sur vey reveal that the Knight sleeve- valve engine is in great demand in the used car market bal also that these cars command the highest prices.
