The preliminary trial of Lea Arthur d'A Guimaraes and Chinese, Kong Sze-yik, on charges of larceny and conspiracy to defraud an editor of a Chines newspaper was opened before, Mr. E. S. Williame at the Central Police Court yesterday afternoon. when the Crown asked for com- mittal.
