RETAIN SHIELD.

Their representatives were conspicuous in every event, and at the end of the night when the points were totalled, they had aggregated 18% points, with the Machine Gun Section their nearest opponents with 1% points. The Scottish Company was third with one point.

The Commandant, Lleut.-Col, L. G. Bird was present together with other officers

of the Corps.

With some of the Colony's fastest; swimmers appearing, the sports pros vided any amount of excitement and spirited racing.

There were big entries for all

events

The two championship events pro. vided the most interesting tussles for the evering. W. Lawrence and S. V. Guiting who are joint holders of the Colony's 100 yards championship put up a great fight in the 50 yards sprint, but the former managed to touch frat. Gittins was not swim-; ming as well as usuni and dead hented with E. B. da Roza for second.

Lawrence and Gittins did not participate in the 100 yards, and H. M. Remedios and L. Riza Pereira
